Best pitch presenter you’ve ever seen:

I was lucky enough to see Madonna Badger (from the ad agency Badger and Winter and founder of the #IStandUp campaign) at Cannes Lions in 2016. A very moving presentation that will stay with me forever. 


Best sports marketing campaign (that wasn’t yours):

Channel 4's 'We're the Superhumans' for the 2016 Paralympic Games, or Nike's 'Dream Further' Women's World Cup video. 


Best agency (that isn’t yours): Forever in awe of the work that W&K do for Nike. Hope and Glory PR do some great creative work in the lifestyle sport space too. 


Best young industry talent:

Katie Wyatt - the women's football reporter at the Telegraph. 
 

Best sporting event attended: London 2012 Olympics


Best sporting event on TV: The Olympics


Best brand ambassador:

Zanna Van Dijk for Adidas. Also not necessarily for a brand, but I really admire Raheem Sterling for speaking out about racism and working alongside Kick it Out to spearhead change. 


Best industry event or conference: Sport Industry Awards


Best film containing a scene depicting the sports business: 

Although portraying a negative side of sport, the doping in cycling documentary Icarus is absolutely fascinating. 


Best book recommendation:

Sport related - 'Eat Sweat Play' (Anna Kessel). Non sport related - Dolly Alderton's 'Everything I know about love'  - hilarious and essential for anyone in their 20s. 


Best bar or pub: Gordon's Wine Bar on Embankment 


Best restaurant: Salt Yard on Goodge Street


Best holiday resort: Maldives

Best influence on your career:

I'd have to say my peers, I'm very lucky to have a good group of friends within the sports industry - we've shared each others highs, lows, struggles and celebrations over the years. 

Best box set: Friends


Best dinner companions (min 4, max 6):

Aly Raisman (US gymnast), Emma Thompson, Jessica Ennis Hill, Elizabeth Day (podcast host), Kelly Holmes, Michelle Obama
 

Best job in the sports biz:

Event organiser for Sports Personality of the Year. I imagine it would be very stressful, but very much worth it. 


Best professional regret: No regrets (yet!) 


Best skill you most covet:

Constantly in awe of my sports/data scientist colleagues and the intelligence they have to make real changes in the sports performance space. 


Best trait you admire in others: A long attention span! 


Best overrated virtue: Independence 


Best ambition: to work at the Olympics.
