Not exactly a pitch but I still get goosebumps thinking about the Seb Coe opening speech of the London 2012 games.
And she doesn’t work in the sports industry but Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez every time she speaks in public - her defense of the Green New Deal in the states was the level of passion every pitch should have.
Best sports marketing campaign (that wasn’t yours):
Rethink role models by Iris Australia. They were already thinking about the future of women’s sport. Humble, true and inspiring.
Best agency (that isn’t yours):
FCB Inferno for being the brains behind This Girl Can and the Perception agency (Flo Williams) - built off the back of all the recent women’s rugby misperception
Best young industry talent:
Jasmin Absolon - gave me the best intro to the industry; dynamic, strategic and all round sports unicorn.
Best sporting event attended:
The Olympic torch arriving in Lands End 6am in the morning. And despite the result England VS France in the six nations Paris 2020, unbeatable atmosphere and probably my last moment of live sport for a while…
Best sporting event on TV:
The England Netball last minute win over Australia to win Commonwealth gold. best 57” of sport in 2018.
Best brand ambassador:
Lizzie Deignan cycling brand ambassador with Santini, she made them design a range using female chromosomes to celebrate being a women on a bike not bad!!!
Best industry event or conference:
I’ve definitely never been but the Laureus world sports awards always looks like the pinnacle of the industry.
Best film containing a scene depicting the sports business:
Invictus, and the recent Rising Pheonix documentary showing the amazing work behind the scenes to make the Paralympics happen.
Best book recommendation:
Girl Women Other or The Salt Path
Best holiday resort:
Slightly biased but The Wateringhole on Perranporth beach, the closest you can get to a sunset whilst drinking a cider.

Amy Thomas (Now RAPP, Previously Ogilvy) ) - attempted to teach me how to be a nice but feisty get sh*t done female.

Sports director at the IOC or sports partnerships at Unicef - power of sport for good
