Best sporting event attended :

It’s a tie between 2008 Men’s Wimbledon final, watching Federer vs Nadal finish in the dark, and Ryder Cup 2018, Le Golf National, the atmosphere was something I’ll never forget.

Best sporting event on TV:

The Ashes. The ultimate grudge match.

Best brand ambassador:

Tendai Mtawarira, Springboks for Dove Men+Care. Nicknamed ‘the beast’ but the furthest from that off the pitch.

Best industry event or conference:

Sports Industry Awards, although we chose the only year it was a virtual event to win an award. We still feel we’re owed a party...

Best film containing a scene depicting the sports business:

The Blind Side.

Best book recommendation:

Born to Run, Christopher McDougall. It will make you want to run ultramarathons.

Best bar or pub:

St Kew Inn, Cornwall. A Cornish cider in the sunny garden with a steak and chips on the way.

Best restaurant:

Chicama Kings Road. Delicious Peruvian inspired small plates, the spicy Margheritas are dangerous.

Best holiday resort:

Grand Provence, Franschhoek, South Africa. The most beautiful, relaxing setting looked after by lovely people

Best box set:

Entourage. Eight seasons got me through lockdown.

Best influence on your career:

My Dad, taught me to play and love most sports, and to ALWAYS be a team player

Louis Theroux, Naomi Osaka, Ben Stokes, Tiger Woods, The Queen, Ruth Jones.

A broadcast presenter, speaking to superstars in sport right after they’ve done superhuman things.

Not making playing professional sport my career.
